Sunday 2nd April, 2017, was the beginning of a new venture in our lives. Our wedding day. Preparations for the puja were expertly done. Our guests were left with that ‘wow’ expression. Until today we often hear about their amusement at the expertise, the well coordinated preparation of the ritual, recitation of the hymns and conduct of the ceremony. When someone takes the time to recount and share a positive experience it speaks volume. Therefore it is my highest pleasure to tell you about my encounters with Pandit Ravi Sharma. I have know him for more than twenty years having being in the same religious association. From his behavior, attitude and discipline everyone knows that he is an exceptional priest. He is immaculate and precise with the preparations and execution of whatever he does. Now when I say precise I mean it. It may look like he is over particular but trust me its only because he’s doing it properly.Especially his ceremonies. So much so that my husband and I insisted that he was the main priest at our wedding even though he lives in another country. It is inherent in his nature to be clean and pure, which are natural qualities of a brahmana. On several occasions, having been a guest in their home in London, Sriman Ravi Sharma is ably assisted by his good wife, Shyama Vallabha Devi Dasi who is naturally caring and affectionate to all. Just being in their Altar and Puja Room brings forth devotional sentiments. Upon my invitation in December 2016, Sriman Ravi Sharma wonderfully performed the Vastu Puja and Installation Ceremonies for the Grand Opening of Bhaktivedanta Asrama Temple in Mauritius. I am privileged to have had many opportunities to see Pandit Ravi Sharma (Rupa Goswami Dasa) perform ceremonies, fire sacrifices (yagnas) and also to be a part of the his team for many occasions over the years.

Every samskara he has undertaken to conduct has always been a very mystical experience when you see him through the lens of  a perfectionist .He has had very good teachers to bring him to this high level of competency in ceremonial presentations  and he has been a bright student having acquired many brahminical qualities in the processes of yagna & samskaras.

His attention to details, his non-compromising stand in adherence to ceremonial deliverance without any shortcuts, his tactful way of involving all householders ( grihasthas) or sacrificial sponsors (yajumanas) during ceremonies by bringing them to the vedic worldly realm from one’s living room is an amazing scene to behold. By nature he is mild mannered and a devoted practitioner of yagna viddhi parampara . I continue to fully recommend him for his priestly services.

In search for someone to perform pooja, my husband and I were introduced to Pundit Ravi Sharma. Based on that first encounter he had a very warm and welcoming personality who made it convenient for us to perform pooja via whatsapp.  With distance working against us, the pooja was organized to perfection from the way in which he ensured the vedi was set up to the way in which the vedi was decorated with a paraphernalia of utensils, flower garlands, and candle lamps, to the arrangement of the Prasad trays and the way in which he chanted his mantras engaged us and created an aura that captivated us spiritually.

With continued interactions, we learned also that he does astrological readings and intrigued by this finding we decided to book a reading. Hands down we were impressed beyond words.  Without a great deal of information you were able to display exceptional competence in reading my chart.  After that reading, we recommended him to our close friends and family members. As soon as their readings were done, calls came in; they were flabbergasted.  He is definitely a professional astrologist and knowledgeable priest that maintains relationships with clients and isn’t afraid to extend his support in times of need.
